Castor oil (Latin Ricini oleum) – also known as wonder oil – is extracted from the seeds of the castor bean plant (Ricinus communis). The seeds of the plant are first shelled and then gently cold-pressed.
Properties:
- Castor oil contains linoleic acid and oleic acid, two unsaturated fatty acids that are particularly skin-friendly and suitable for all skin types.
- The viscous oil is considered non-comedogenic and can therefore be ideally used for facial cleansing and as a massage oil.
Areas of application:
- Castor oil is an ideal addition to daily skin and hair care.
- It is suitable for treating brittle, flaky or dry hair and for caring for eyelashes and eyebrows.
- Can be used with or without the addition of essential oils.
Castor oil for eyelashes:
- When applying with a mascara wand, ensure that the oil does not get into the eyes. After an exposure time of approx. 1–2 hours, the oil is removed with a damp cosmetic wipe.
Castor oil as a hair treatment:
- After washing your hair, massage warmed castor oil into your hair and scalp. Leave it on for about 2 hours and then wash it out several times with a mild shampoo.
Ingredients:
- Castor oil. Store in a cool place, protected from light.
"Non-comedogenic" means it does not clog pores.

- It is also rich in vitamin E (antioxidant), provitamin A (beta-carotene), and vitamin B6.
Areas of application:
- Due to its very subtle inherent scent, jojoba oil is an extremely popular combination partner for essential oils.
- Also ideal as a carrier oil for natural perfumes, natural soaps, lip care, cleansing creams, make-up removers, and for aroma massages or as bath oil.
Facial care:
- Due to its sebum-regulating, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties and its good skin tolerance, it is also suitable for sensitive skin. Simply apply it pure to the affected skin areas or mix with essential oil.
